Free Auto Tilt-Shift Photoshop Action

Download & info after the jump.
OH HEY. Today I’m putting up the first in a series of specialist photography Photoshop actions which I’ve put together. This one, Auto Tilt-Shift, mimics tilt-shift photography which, though initially used in a very serious way by architects is now used by artists to make buildings in aerial photographs look small and like adorable models. You can see lots of (largely faked) examples on flickr here. A tilt-shift lens will cost you about £800, but this Photoshop action is only £400! Only joking, it’s free, so if you would have been willing to pay £400, you’ve just made a sweet sweet profit of £400.
Once you’ve loaded the action, (for instructions on how to, click here), open an aerial, or any high-angle photograph and run it. That’s literally it. It works best on landscape orientated images between 600 – 2000 pixels. Any bigger, or if the photograph’s portrait orientated they you’ll probably have to crop it slightly, but hey, that’s fun!
I’ve included a few before and after images after the jump so you can see how it works. Please feel free to distribute it as you wish, but if you do please link to this blog. I like it because when people visit, it feels almost like I have friends.

After 50% has done
I got this message:
The Command “Refine Edge” is not currently available
I got it in any Picture
any solutions?

Ah, what version of Photoshop are you using? I’m afraid if it’s below CS3 the action won’t work for it, and i think “refine edge” is probably a funtion introduced in CS3… Sorry!

Any way to tell it what portion of the image you want to look miniature?

The only time this happened to me was when I used an image under 1000 px wide. Is this the case with your image? If so send me an email and I’ll explain how to modify the action to stop this happening.

I keep getting the error message that “refine edge” is not available.
I’m running CS2 on a Mac.
arghhh…..
